The Process

Right now, I’m looking to achieve a particular goal for the month of September. My original goal was $4000 this month but being honest, I believe that I can eclipse this goal – by doubling it.

I believe that this month is already the best month for me financially. I say that because I understand what I’ve done wrong as far as my business is concerned and where I need to get to.

Daily discipline = Overwhelming success

Another Month

this has been an awesome journey for me personally. i mean the last 9 months. for me as an artist and as a business owner, it really has been revealing. it has revealed the worst in me and the best in me. i think that the best things that have happened to me so far are the worst things. They have helped me to identify my weaknesses and understand the issues that I need to resolve and challenges that I need to take on – within myself.

I say that because this is the first time that I will be able to walk into a month as a Director in my part time business. It is time for me to start acting in a reasonable and respectable, Director fashion.

first and foremost, i have to say that personal development is a big thing in a lot of people’s lives and a big section in the book store. In most bookstores and libraries it’s called Self-Help. i like to define Personal Development as anything that is able to help you improve the quality of your life. that being the case, being as though i’m a Christian, i believe that a big part of PD is studying the Word. The Bible speaks about it in a consistent manner. i applaud anyone that studys the Word. it will greatly improve the quality of your life when you follow what God says to do.

i will also share my opinion that if this isn’t your first step of PD, then the rest won’t make sense. i’ve always found it funny that people won’t follow the keys the the Bible offers and then turn around and think that other things will make sense later on. If you aren’t strong enough in mind to implement the way of life the Word presents, you won’t be strong enough to implement other ways of life. simply put.

so here’s the deal. this month, i’m running for Executive Director in my business. this is going to be one of the most difficult challenges that i’ll face but the key is understanding that problems only make us better. i’m currently at the Manager level but at the end of this month, i will reach not only the Director level but run through it on my way to the Executive Director level. I’m proud because i’ve already accomplished this.

that’s the thinking that enables people to win. I’VE ALREADY!!!

what’s going on? my profile really says a great deal about me in the smallest amount of words. i created this blog though, as a journal of sorts to state how i feel as i walk this journey of personal development. i currently am an independent associate with Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc and I own a business known as Intellect Music LLC. i’m proud of both these companies and i’m amazed at what i’ve learned as a business owner on both parts. some people may ask, “how can you run two businesss?’ let’s just say that one hand washes the other. in the future, these won’t be the only businesses that i’ll have.

i’m proud of several things: 1st – I am a Christian and not the type that says and doesn’t do; 2nd – My family is Jamaican; and 3rd – I love music and I don’t think that I’ll ever give that up.

that’s pretty much it. this is a chronicle of my journey of PD – Personal Development. i posted it because i feel that a number of people will be able to relate and may gain insight into themselves by seeing someone else’s example. i don’t mind being transparent.
